2017 ICC Champions Trophy ... India march into the Final dominating Bangladesh ... Analysis By Anjum Chopra





India put up a commanding show and entered the finals of the  ICC Champions Trophy by beating Bangladesh comprehensively. India put Bangladesh into bat and for a while it seemd to back fire on them; Bangladesh made a very good start and were well placed at 154 for 2 in the 28th over. Tamim Iqbal's departure for a well made 70 runs seemed to put the brakes on the run rate and Bangladesh manged to score only 264 for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. The tight Indian bowling attack delivered during the second half of the innings.

India in reply got off to a flying start from Shikar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma. The departure of the in form Shikar Dhawan for 46 runs brought skipper Virat Kohli to the crease. Kohli and Sharma treated the crowd to some exquisite batting and took India to vistory with the score at 265 for 1 in the beginning of the 41st over. Rohit Sharma scored a magnificent century and cremained unbeaten with 123 to his credit. Virat Kohli missed out a century narrowly compling an impeccable 96 not out.


Stage has been set for the India Pakistan final to be played on June 18.
