England became the first team to qualify for semi-finals at the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. In today's marquee match England defeated New Zealand by a very comfortable margin of 87 runs. England batsmen scored in a steady manner and put up a good total of 310 runs helped in no small measure by Butler's quick fire 61. The Kiwis were simply not up to the task and kept losing wickets. Their skipper Kane Williamson fought a lone battle with 87 glorious runs. All in all a disappointing day for the Kiwis and a great one for England.
