New Method of evaluating Bowlers By Coefficient of Variation (CV), which is a measure of dependability and consistency. Standard performance metric for bowlers has been Average Runs conceded per wicket taken, but in order to compute Coefficient of Variation the wickets taken for a standard unit of runs was utilized. Bowlers have been rated by their Average, their Economy Rate, Strike Rate and Coefficient of Variation. Which Bowler is overall the better among Ashwin, Herath, Starc, etc... Surprisingly Neil Wagner of New Zealand ranks quite high based on his numbers, he ranks third behind Herath and Starc.
