During the Opening Overs, India scored quickly and stayed slightly ahead of the Resource Clock Index. However they lost wickets and also fell significantly behind the asking run rate during the Middle Overs and were thus behind the Resource Clock Index. In fact at one point India was 11 points behind the Resource Clock Index when the score was 108 for 4 at the end of 20 overs.

However thanks to Yusuf Pathan's magnificent innings India recovered during the end-overs and caught up with the Resource Clock Index.

Thus India won the match by the end of the 49th over by 5 wickets and 7 balls to spare.
