1920 -- Roy Park of Australia makes his Test debut with a 1st ball duck in his only Test cricket innings against England at the MCG. As Cricinfo has it. ... "Roy Park's place in cricket history was secured by the legend of how his wife bent down to pick up her knitting and missed her husband's entire Test career - he was bowled first ball in his only innings, against England at Melbourne in 1920-21"

1945 -- Don Bradman scores 112 his 1st post -War century for South Australia vs Australian Services.

1966 -- India's spin great Bishen Singh Bedi makes his Test debut against West Indies at the Eden Gardens Calcutta. Bedi had a great successful career taking 266 wickets.

1984 -- India's Mohammad Azharuddin makes his Test debut against Engaland at the Eden Gardens Calcutta. Azharuddin scored a century on debut and later scored over 6000 runs and 22 hundreds. 

1893 -- Birthday of J M Blankenberg of South Africa, he took over 60 wickets in 18 Tests.

1929 -- Birthday of Peter (PBH) May England skipper, he played 66 Tests and scored over 4500 at an average 46.77.

1941 -- Birthday of Milkha Singh of India, he played only 4 Tests was the brother of Test cricketer Kripal Singh.

1958 -- Birthday of Geoff Marsh of Australia, he played 50 Test and 117 ODI with some distinction.

1964 -- Birthday of Winston Benjamin of West Indies, a right arm fast bowler he took 61 wickets in 21 Tests at an average of 27 runs per wicket.
